The RLA Spring Studio Tour is a self-guided driving
tour of working artists' studios clustered in the beautiful "Knobs"
area of Red Lick Valley, one of Central Kentucky's quiet treasures, straddling Madison and Estill counties, a short drive
from Lexington, Ky., a half hour from Richmond and approximately 6 miles east
of Berea. The participants for this year's tour are looking forward to an entire weekend
of visitors to tour the studios, purchase unique handcrafted items and enjoy
the activities from the many talented artisans in the area.
In addition to
pottery, the art and craft on the tour include paintings, jewelry, woodworking,
furniture, textiles, up-cycled works and dance plus an invitation to Snug
Hollow Farm in Red Lick Valley in Estill County to meet author, Barbara Napier
and enjoy lunch and the scenic trails on the property. Over the next few weeks, we hope to be highlighting individual stops and artists. Be sure to follow us on Facebook as well!
