Cynthia Cusick of Tea Horse Studio, guest artist at Stop #5

Native to the New York City area, Cynthia Cusick of Tea Horse Studio has been living in Estill County for over sixteen years. She will be a guest artist at Tater Knob Pottery, Stop #5. Cindi works in stoneware, firing in both electric-fired mid-range and high-fire soda, salt and wood reduction firings. Her work is heavily carved with a very rustic, yet retro feel. Cave art drawings and primitive marks are the inspiration for her aesthetic. Her studio in Estill County is open for visitors by appointment only for 2015.
